SSL certificates protect your website by encrypting data between your visitors and your server. They also display the secure https:// connection and padlock icon in the browser.

How to Enable SSL in cPanel

  1. Log in to your cPanel account.
  2. Go to the Security section.
  3. Click SSL/TLS Status.
  4. Select the domain or subdomain you want to secure.
  5. Click Run AutoSSL.
  6. Wait for the SSL certificate to install.
  7. Once completed, your website should be accessible using https://yourdomain.co.za.

Forcing HTTPS on Your Website

  1. In cPanel, go to Domains.
  2. Find your domain name.
  3. Enable Force HTTPS Redirect.
  4. Test your website by opening it with https://.

Important Notes

SSL may take a few minutes to activate. Your domain must also point correctly to the hosting server before SSL can be issued.
